In the end.....

Choii… it is already the time… finish having the breaks, now I have to get ready for the role play. This whole week my friends and I just go for rehearsal from morning until late night. We having our rehearsal in class and done all the works there. Set up the props, customs and edit the script too.

Come back from the breaks all of us have lots of idea in order to make the role play more interesting. Me as the director accept all the idea and make the story longer because the duration time is 20 – 40 minutes for each group.

Due to that most of the group members don’t get enough rest and makes our body felt very tired and sometimes even don’t have enough time to eat. After this final task finish, I think that all of us manage to get enough rest and having great breaks.

That night, my group is the first team to present our role play. We felt very nervous, but Miss Syidah had calm us and found that we manage to do the best. We promise to do all out just for Miss Syidah attention.

There are lots of audiences that night and we felt very shamed to act. This is the first time we present in front of lots of students. But, we found that it is interesting to do this again. Miss Syidah is very satisfied with our presentation and said that our group had done a good job. She enjoyed our role play very much and will miss our role very much.

So, that’s all for this semester and hope to see you all in the next page. After this, we have to face with our final examination, hope that we manage to answer the entire question without any worries. ~ see you soon and have a nice day…

Diiwali.....

Submitted my assignment makes me feeling relief. Just one final task that I have to do and after that I can sit down has a break. As I mentioned before I have to do a role play. Our group had chosen to do Tragedy of My Third Eyes and I have divided all the work to my group members. As a leader there are lots of works to do and to think about. Thankful that all my friends manage to do all their work without any complain although all of us already tired and sometimes fed up to do so.

Miss Syidah gives us enough time to do the rehearsal, to find our custom and also the props. But, we just don’t have enough time to make it. I am very sad and angry that sometimes there is some argument in my groups. Maybe because each of everyone felt very exhausted and just cannot take it anymore. This is our last assignment and our semester break is just around the corner. That means our final examination will be held soon.

We have to rush for the due date and also have to study for our final examination. I myself felt that I just cannot stand anymore, but with Miss Syidah advice all of us wake up and with one mission to finish this last final task.

Lots of rehearsal and training we had done. Just want to ensure our role play is the best among the best. We are kind of shy person to do the acting part, but after a few times we thought that for our marks we will do whatever we had too.

This weekend we will be having another breaks because of Deepavali which means our time for training is too short. After the breaks we will present the role play. So, during the break all the actress and actor have to find the suitable outfits, props as well as remembered the script. Soon, after the breaks the role play will begin…

Battleship had begun.....

Assignment… assignment… assignment. This week is the busiest week I ever had because I am rushing for the due date and this week my netball team has a tournament with UIA team on weekend. Due to that situation I have to go for training every evening because me myself have not done any training right after went back from KASUKMA.

It is quiet exhausted, but no matter what I have to do so in order to fulfill all my work and role as a student in here. I am still continuing with my reading although I felt very tired to do so. I found that the story is very interesting and I myself can feel the conflict in there because the writer tells about the story in details.

Before this I have already done my third assignment which I have to do the short stories review. Here, I found that it is not difficult for me to finish this assignment. I only just have to follow the contests in the former task and I will manage to finish it up.

Lately, I found that I tend to be mad and quite tension. Maybe because I have lots of work to do and my netball team had a conflict too. I wish that all my work and my tournament will just be good.

It's haunting me.....

Back to work… after having about one week Hari Raya Aidilfitri break, I have to go back to my college. Continue with my role as a student again in MPCIM. Last holiday makes me felt very happy because it was an exciting Hari Raya Aidilfitri that I ever had. Thank God that I had submitted my third assignment which is short stories review and I had chosen Mariah. I have other two assignments that have to submit. Hope that I manage to do so with my lecturer help.

Miss Syidah only having consultation hour with us after all the short stories we had been discuss. We had final assignment which we had to do a role play based on one of the short stories that I had learned. My group and I had already chosen Tragedy of My Third Eyes. Miss gives the opportunity for us to choose our own group members and I had become the director. The due date for this role play is still a long way to go.

Now I want to focus on another assignment which is book review. I never read the book yet, but I hope that I can manage to do so. I am going to read about Charmed the Soul of Bride. From the overview I think that the story might be interesting because I also followed this TV series and I loved to watch about the three witches that very beautiful and gorgeous.

Although I had other assignment to do, but I have to divide my time equally so that all my assignment can be submit just right on time. Thankful that Miss Syidah is very a kind lecturer to us that she always support whatever we do and she too encouraging us to do all the assignment because this subject does not have final examination paper.

All at all I have to finish reading the book because there are not much time left anymore. So, see you all in the next entry.

Bang...bang...boom.!

This week is the last week before we faced the Hari Raya Aidilfitri break. As usually my mind is already at home because this year all my siblings are here and we can celebrate it together. Although my mood is already on Hari Raya mood, but I am still busy catch up my due date for assignment. All my lectures wanted us to submit the assignment before we go home. Poor I because my ticket is on 24 September, Wednesday at night and it mean I only have three days for this week. I hope to finish up all my assignment according to the due date.

As Miss had promised that we will be watching the movie, The Color Purple. On Tuesday we had the chance to watch it at Dewan Cerun (DK – 3) combined with other classes. I found that the movie is very interesting because it tells about a man rebellious towards a woman. He is such a cruel man because he had a crash on his wife where it cannot call as a wife actually. He thinks that he had already give sheltered, food and clothes to the woman and it means the girl had to follow whatever he said. The woman had a sister and wanted her sister to stay with her, but the man refused because he cannot manage to ‘get’ his wife’s sister. Due to that he chases her out and the girl promise to write.

The girl had write lots of letters to her sister, but none of it reached her sister because the man kept the letters. He does not want his wife know about the secret that he been kept for such a long time. All this while the man enjoyed his life with other women out there and his wife just ignores about that because does not want his husband get mad of her. There is one beautiful women whom her husband admirer with. Her husband took the women back home because wanted to help her. His wife make friends with her and the woman had teaches her a lot about the world.

Before this she is afraid to speak up, but after she learned from the beautiful lady she is brave enough. With the lady helps also she manages to find all about her true life and family too. She gets back her family and life without destruction anymore and live happy ever after. ~ thE End ~

From my opinion, this movie had lots of moral values because it tells us about how important to be out spoken nowadays. We cannot afraid to speak up or tells whatever that we do not agree with. We have the right to do so because everyone in this world has its own right. On Wednesday we do not have class with Miss, but only consultation hour. I have shown my novel for book review assessment and Miss said the book can be used. Last but not least my request from Miss is to postpone the third assessment because I cannot manage to finish it. Thank God that Miss is very a kind hearted person that she let us to submit it after Hari Raya. Alhamdulillah, I can go home without any worried anymore.

Stairway to Heaven...

One week to go… after this I can have my holiday with all my family. What I heard from my elder sister my brother will celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri together with us. I am very happy with that news. Hehehe… after discuss about Mala, we go to the next story ~ Tragedy of my third eyes… I’ve been wondering why it is the title sound like that. From my opinion it might be a scary, creepy and horror story, but after read it I knew that the story had lots of moral values in it.

The story is about a little Chinese girl who formerly stayed with her grandmother and now had to stay with her ‘mother’. She does not know to speak English, but very fluency in Cantonese. At her school there is one girl in her class that very arrogant because she can speak English very well. The girl is same like a bullying and always bullies other students. To say that other girl scared with this girl, but not her. She does not care about the little girl and just mind her own business.

What a poor little girl at school always been bully and when at home she been scold by her ‘mother’. Actually she hates her ‘mother’, but has to stay with her because the ‘mother’ had separated her with the grandma. Stayed with her ‘mother’ she had to do all the housework because her ‘mother’ does not have enough time to do so. As a little girl who just wants to grow up does not get full attention and it makes she felt very sad because of that. She has to do her ovaltine by herself and has to go to the toilet which quiet far and dark.

Other than that her ‘mother’ thinks that she is a burden for her. Her mother had to feed her, sent her to school, buy clothes and give sheltered. So, she had to thank God because her ‘mother’ gave all that. She also kept been scold by her ‘mother’ because she refused to eat. For a little girl who always been scold, of course they will not hear whatever we said. Same goes to the little girl. Not only that her ‘mother’ also always hit her and it makes she sad and hate her ‘mother’ so much.

For this story I think the mother cannot treat her like that because she is just a little girl. Poor her because she does not get enough attention from her true mother because the ‘mother’ is actually her aunty. There is no right or wrong if she stayed with her grandma, but her aunty think it is her responsibility to take care of her and does not want her grandma pampered her so much.

More to go...

Morning everyone… today is already week 10 and I cannot wait any longer because within two weeks all of us will go home having our Hari Raya Aidilfitri break. There are lots of works to do, so I have to continue my role as a student here. Alright... for this week, next short story is Mala. A young little girl who is Indian always been called as ‘Malas’ and that is why now her name is Mala. Actually she not that lazy because at her age a girl not really wants to do all the housework, but her mother wants her to do so. While her neighbor kept saw Mala just sat under the tree without doing anything.

Due to that situation, her mother asked her to marry, but she refused. No matter how hard she refused she has to marry with that man. Her father is a very strict man, so she had to follow whatever her family said. Actually Mala is a good girl whom she just followed whatever people asked her to do and also such a loyal woman towards her husband. After married, they lived at the town and Mala be as a babysitter. She helps her neighbor to look after their children. Other than that she is her husband’s clerk and one day her husband took her to a clinic. They do not ready to have a baby yet.

Just for a moment, Mala know how to dress up maybe because she had learned the lifestyle already. But, as woman who already married of course want to have a baby. Her husband still refused to have it and Mala cannot say anything because she just followed whatever people said.

What a sad story because I as a woman felt very sorry with Mala because she cannot give her opinion and just followed other people said. Although nowadays is a millennium era, but there is still a woman that cannot give their own opinion.

Here c0me again.!..

Selamat Menyambut Ramadhan Al – Mubarak… this September all Muslims all over the world have faced with fasting month just for a month. After 8 month Muslim just eats and eats now is the time for me and others to get fasting. It is only for a month suffering from fasting, but after that we will celebrate Syawal which is also known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri. This is to celebrate after having a month of Ramadhan. Alright, that’s it for the introduction for this week.

Back from camping I having my fasting without any excuses and now it is already 8 days. I am happy having my Ramadhan once again for this year, but to be true I am really hated to have Ramadhan without my family. No matter how hard it is I have too because I have my responsibility towards my study. For this week Miss have give us an assessment for us to do as our carried mark. She said that it is actually a kind of test, but she asked us to do at our hostel and make it some sort of assignment. So I take it back to the hostel and answered it without waiting any longer because there are lots of works to do.

Before we and Miss forgot about the presentation, she said that it will postponed once again to the next class because in the previous class there is no electricity at that moment, so we felt uncomfortable to continue the class. We all agreed with that suggestion and we dismiss early that Wednesday. On Friday we had the presentation as my group is the opening topic. The presentation worked smoothly without any distraction. We also had some discussion about the short stories as well as the movie too. Miss said that within two weeks my class and the others also will be watching The Color Purple. I am very excited to watch it because my favorite color is purple. Hahaha…

To end the class for that day, my friends and I had asked Miss about our assessment because we had some questioned that we don’t understand. Miss explain it clearly so that we can answered it correctly because the marks is not only for 10 or 15 marks, but 25 marks for each question. After we get the explanation from Miss, we dismiss and hope to finish it up as soon as possible because the due date is just around the corner.

New face ya.!...

Now come the new week right after the midterm break… After having a quit long break I have to face the weather of my college again. No matter how hate I am to come back here, but I have too. This week Miss asked us to read The Interview because we have to compare between the story and the movie that we had watched which is The Empire of the Sun. I found that the story is not that interesting compare with the movie because as you know that I am not that bookworm.

After I have read the story, we form a group that we usually do in her class. She hands out us with transparency and marker to make a presentation according to what we have read. We had come out us our own opinion about the story and the movie. My group has to do setting, point of view, and also theme. I have discussed about it with all my group members and we satisfied with what we had done.

Miss wants to do the presentation on the next class because she and we also had lots of work to do. Furthermore, we as DECom 3 students had to go for a camping this weekend. I am very excited, but in the same time I am afraid because I didn’t do my assignment yet. The dateline is just around the corner, so I really hope that I have enough time to finish it on time.

up!up! in the sky...

Holiday …holiday …holiday … Cameron Highlands here I come! I was very excited because this semester breaks my family and I will have our vacation in Cameron Highlands. My father wants to celebrate my mother birthday up at the hill. My younger sister was very happy because my family has not had any vacation for such a long time. This is because each of us had been very busy with our own routine. So, this is the moment we all can get together. Even though my two lovely brothers can’t join us because they are at overseas, but we still have lots of fun and enjoy ourselves.

At the hill I had drank a tea which is raspberry flavor. It was a good tea and also its flavor. I liked it so much and makes me bought two boxes of it with others flavor as well. After I take a walk at the tea farm and factory my father took us to strawberry farm. My favorite is strawberry and at there I have eaten lots of strawberries. I am very happy up at the hill because the weather was so cold and can gather with my family too. Seldom can we get the best time for ourselves.

Besides the two farms we also go to the butterfly farm and night market there. It just same like other night market, but they sold tempura mushroom with others vegetables that we can get form up there in fresh. My younger sister liked it so much that she always bought it and ate together with all of us. My mother and my elder sister have take a look for the fresh vegetables to take it home. They want to cook it back home for us because it was so fresh.

After a long walk we decided to go back home because we have already spent two days up there. For two days we only walked and walked because we loved to do so. Hahaha …I have bought some key chain for my friends and it same goes to my younger sister. We have bought some other stuff for our own and friends too.

Although I am on vacation, but I not forgot with my assessment that Miss asked us to do. I take my free time to do all the works that she gave to me and same to other subject too. I not finished it up yet, but I promise to myself that I have to do as fast as I can because the dateline is just around the corner.

My semester breaks is already finished and no matter what I have to go back to my college. Soon, I have to face my ordinary routine as a student of MPCIM…

0lidAZ...

Sawadikap… this is the last week before I gone for the midterm holiday. At this week my mind is already at my hometown. No more assessment or assignment that I want to do, but there are lots of week to go before my final examination. Whatever it is I have to do it because I don’t want to finish it up at last minute. This will burden me and cause me to burn the midnight oil.

For this week Miss has pass to all of us our assessment and assignment too. Same goes to other subject we have already received it earlier. Although we said we don’t want another assignment, but still my lecturer gave it to us because it was compulsory.

Miss explains about what we have to do for the assessment. There is three of it and one of it we have to do a role – play. This role – play will involve in such a large group. I hope my group cam manage to do the best role – play without any argument or clash idea.

Finished with Miss explanation she ended the class and let all of us to go back for the holiday. We all very happy and hope to see all the members in the new becoming week.

M0viE tiMe...

Namastee… this week we have to watch a movie entitled Empire of the Sun because there is one story connected with it which is The Interview. It almost the same because both of it is about war. The moment I watched this movie I thought it was a slow movie and of course quit bored because it about war and a bit historical. After continued watching it was not that really bored because it has funny elements and fight too.

The story has the ending that very good and makes all of us satisfied when watching it. We don’t felt disappointed at all because some of us said it just wasting our time. The movie must be not that interesting, but after watching it we felt not that bad.

In our next class, we have been discussing about Mariah. We came out with our best opinion and point of view about this story. We have made the discussion further and has included with our own experience about love. As usual, Miss will tell us about her experience with all her boyfriends. How she met them and how was their relationship. It was funny and lots of story that want to discuss about.

We found that some of her stories likely the same like our loved story. We exchanged story and experience about nowadays men behavior and principle. It was quite interesting topic to discuss because most of us are in loved right now. Hahaha… whatever it is study come first than anything else.

Although Miss always told us about her story especially about her love one she never forgets to remind us about the purpose of General English 2. She asked us about our journal or blog, do we have finished it up or still in progress… she also wants all of us kept continue to read the short stories and try to understand what exactly the writer wants to tell the reader.

So, we as her student never neglected whatever she told us to do. We loved our lecturer because she was very sporting and kind to us. We will do all her work even though we always asked to cancel the class. Hehehe…

:: Put your ear down close to your soul and listen hard ::

.....

We met again… thank God at last Miss had entered the class. My friends and I were very pleasant to see our beloved and most sporting lecturer back to our college again. We felt very sorry for Miss because of her tiredness that she just comes back from the ‘induksi’. Our second class was held in joyful and with loud laugh because Miss told us about her experience there. She said that there is a man who wanted to seduce her.

Haha… so funny. For this class Miss elaborate more about the elements of stories. There are eight of elements in it and each of them has its own explanation. With all the information and notes that Miss gave it makes me understand more about the stories. Actually, we have learned about this in our former primary school, but no matter what it is we have to learn it again.

For your information, I am not that used to read literature because I think it just like History subject and it also same goes to Miss (just joke). Hahaha… but Miss has its own story and ways in order to make all of us loved and understand the stories well.

Before she ends the class she asked all of us to read the Bugis once again for the next class. She wants all of us to understand and try to look it in a different way that it is the story about.

In the next class, we have discussed about Bugis. Our class has been divided into four groups which each group have five members. Miss asked all of us to point out all the eight elements in a story referring to the Bugis. All of us manage to come out with our own opinion and point of view.

We make Miss satisfied, but she said that we only looked at the surface without going deeper about Bugis. She said as a literature student we must to do so. All of us a bit disappointed because we cannot manage to elaborate more about Bugis. This is maybe because we still blur about literature and cannot come out with what Miss wants.

After all it’s okay, but Miss wanted us to really understand with the second story which is Mariah. She hopes that in the next discussion we all can give our best opinion and point of view.

What's more.???

Hi! Aloha… now it is already week three, but still Miss Syahidah gone for her ‘induksi’. That mean I have not entered the class yet. It’s a lie if I said I don’t happy because of that, but deep in my heart I felt very worried because another class has started their lesson already. Some of them have gone through the short stories and others had done their role – played. I hope that my class can catch up all of it after Miss Syahidah came back.

For not further a due, I took my responsibility with reading the second story which is Mariah. I kept wondering why is it the writers choose such a weird title for their story. Ermmm, maybe they have their own reason for doing that and maybe they just wanted the reader to think what it is this story about.

Back to the track, this story was held in one of a village in Kelantan. Mariah is a nasi seller and she is a widower. All of the people in the village loved with Mariah ‘nasi berlauk’ and it is famous among the men. Actually, Mariah ‘nasi berlauk’ it is not that good, but don’t know why they all loved to eat it. Before I forgot, ‘nasi berlauk’ is Kelantanese breakfast and it just likes our Malaysian ‘nasi lemak’.

From my opinion, I think it is because Mariah herself who cooked and as we all know a widower will always be people attention. This is only my opinion, I didn’t say it is a must, but in this world it always is like this. Hahaha …

Okay, this story had made up a conflict between Pak Imam which well known as a good person had some trouble with his wife, Cik Yam. This is because Pak Imam remembered his first loved who he believed is Mariah. Due to that he wanted to married Mariah no matter what is happened.

Before that Cik Yam has a heart feeling with her husband because Pak Imam refused to eat her ‘nasi berlauk’ and prefer Mariah’s ‘nasi berlauk’. Now, Pak Imam asked her permission to marry Mariah.

If I were Pak Imam’s wife, I have to think twice…no! More than twice in order to let my own husband to marry another woman, in other way is ‘bermadu’. Although, we as a Muslim we believed that we will get ‘payung emas’ in heaven, but we as an ordinary people it is hardly to except it.

So, in this story it shows that we cannot expect what will happen in the future. Normally, what we do not want it to happen, it will happen without any warning. We as a human being have to accept it without any comment. All the things that happen have its own reason…

:: He’s a Taco Bell, Domino’s Pizza type of guys, that’s why I love him ::

Olaa...

Hello, there… welcome back in this new entry. For the second week for my life here there’s nothing much I want to share with all of you because I still not entered the General English 2 class because of Miss Syahidah absentee. Due to that I have to continue with my reading which is I have told you before.

For this week I have read the first short stories entitled Bugis. Let me review a bit about this story. First thing first I heard my friends mentioned about the title Bugis, I expect that it must be a historical story about a war which involved by Bugis or whatsoever. Later, after me myself had read it I realize that this is not a historical story, but it is about teenage life.

Salmah has never used to wear tudung before, but suddenly had changed her appearance because of her boyfriend Sazalie (who cannot pronounce ‘R’ well. The narrator once have become Salmah best friend ever had turn to be Salmah number one enemy. The narrator hate Salmah so much because of her attitude that the narrator though it was very hypocrite.

Another reason why the narrator does so it is because she also had a feeling towards Sazalie. In addition, the way Salmah behave herself which is she pretends to be so ladies in front of boys rather than the narrator. That is why Sazalie attract more to Salmah.

Why Bugis? I also kept wondering why… Bugis, is a street in Singapore which called Bugis Road late in 1979. At the street there are lots of transsexual just same like nowadays in Malaysia, for example Jalan Haji Taib.

After all, for me Bugis is an interesting story because it has covered all of the lifecycle in this world. Maybe some of us cannot accept this story, but if we take a look by other side it actually has lots of moral values there.

My Life...

As a student of MPCiM I felt that I am the most lucky girl in this world because I had the opportunity to continue my study in this third semester although I had to repeat one of my subject which is Academic Studies 2. I dissatisfied because of that, but whatever it is life must go on. Thank God that my pointer still three and above and I promised to myself that I want to eternal it.

Okay… the purpose I am doing this blog is because for my General English 2 lecture, Miss Norsyahidah attention. She asked all of her students to do so because it was one of the assessments in order to past this subject. My first class in this new semester with Miss Syidah has worked well without any problem occurred. She brief us well about this subject which we has taken it last semester, General English 1 and it’s a prerequisite subject same goes to Academic Studies.

Poor I because Miss Syidah had to go for an ‘induksi’ for about a week and me as her student too had to attend KASUKMA. For your information, I played for netball team and unlucky we because we only got number six out of eight. We felt very disappointed and frustrated too because before this we always be the champion. Maybe this year is not our lucky year that is why we just have to accept it.

Back to the main topic, Miss Syidah not left us without any homework. She asked us to read the extracts from the merlion and the hibiscus. I never read it yet because of the KASUKMA, but I promised to myself that I want to read it as soon as I came back from Kuane,Kedah.
