Welc0me a board...~
Happy to see all of you again… in the same page, but of course in another section. The reason I am coming back it is because to complete my final year task. This time is for my E – Learning lecturer, Miss Norul Asyikin attention. First time I get in her class I felt a bit different because her is such a happy – go – lucky person and enjoyed to teach all of us. We all enjoyed being in her class although she gave us lots of exercises. What I like the most about this class is I learned this subject using the Internet as well as computer. The most important thing that I love in this world is computer yet the Internet too.

Reflection on class & subject...
This subject makes me really critical on thinking how to do all the assignment. Once a while it makes me feel that wanted to give up because the topic is really hard to understand. But, after all with the help of Madam Yaya make all the homework and assignment easy. Even though the classes and assignments are very packed and cannot been delayed, I still manage to do all the works that had been given. What I am really love about this subject is it is compulsory to post a blog which is my favorite to online. Haha ….. Truly, not all the entries I post it on time. Sorry Madam, but I never forgot to post it although the due date had past. After all, thanks to Madam Yaya for all your attention towards my friends and I.

Reflection on drugs and guns
Based from what I had read, this article tells about the South Africa’s President Thabo Mbeki that he enjoys a position of some eminence, whereas each year spending a noble amount of time on diplomatic visits abroad. Not only that at home he and his government have to contend with two controversies that just won’t go away which are arms and AIDS.
Now Mbeki had faced two difficulties as a president because he had to choose whether to take the weapon or the drugs. For me even war is not always happened in the country, but it is for the own good sake. If the Mbeki choose to put drugs as a legal in his country, I think the impact will become worse rather than impact of war.
As a president, Mbeki has to think more than twice rather to put priority on drugs or guns because for his people drugs are more important than guns. But if Mbeki think further he will choose guns for his country’s future.

Topic 6
In this reading 5.3 we had learned about Types of Exposition: ‘persuading that’ and ‘persuading to’. There are four types of it which are analytical, hortatory, reasoning and also personality exposition. For analytical usually it is a thesis where something we persuade that or to explain why things are as they are. While hortatory is to explain why they should change or in other word to persuade to. We can found this in political speeches and debate. Reasoning in exposition is same like hortatory that are about why, but reasoning in speech and in writing is very different.
I only understand about what Maryam had explained in the class, but for Fandi and Hafiz presentation I am a little bit confusing. Maryam explained about metaphor in ‘nuke speak’ – the language of nuclear weapons or ‘nuke speak’. There are wide variety of metaphors, different levels and many different perspectives. The metaphor is a ‘nuclear weapons are part of nation’s industrial output’, whereby it is clearly crucial to the way in which we talk about and construct our world. Not only has that metaphor drawn on our knowledge of the physical world of concrete objects and spatial relationships in order to structure a great variety of experiential domains.
